A compound of man + power, recorded in modern English for the amount of human labor available; later also used by analogy with horsepower.
यह man + power का संयुक्त शब्द है; आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी में मानव श्रम/उपलब्ध कार्यबल की मात्रा के लिए प्रचलित हुआ, और बाद में horsepower की तरह तुलना करते हुए एक व्यक्ति की श्रम-शक्ति के अर्थ में भी प्रयुक्त होने लगा।

Manpower refers mainly to the number of people available to do work in an organization, project, or country; it can also mean the physical labor capacity of one person.
Manpower का मुख्य अर्थ किसी संगठन/परियोजना/देश में काम करने के लिए उपलब्ध लोगों की कुल संख्या (कार्यबल/जनशक्ति) है; कभी-कभी यह एक व्यक्ति की शारीरिक श्रम-क्षमता के अर्थ में भी प्रयोग होता है।
