Definition
Mainland refers to the principal continuous land area of a country or region, especially as distinguished from offshore islands or island territories; it can also mean a continent as opposed to nearby islands.
Mainland का अर्थ किसी देश/क्षेत्र का मुख्य, सतत (एक-दूसरे से जुड़ा) भूभाग है, जो पास के द्वीपों या द्वीपीय क्षेत्रों से अलग माना जाता है; कभी-कभी इसका अर्थ आसपास के द्वीपों के विपरीत ‘महाद्वीप’ भी होता है।
