Definition
Lingula refers to a tongue-shaped part in anatomy, commonly the small projection on the upper lobe of the left lung and also a tongue-like bony process (e.g., near the sphenoid bone).
लिंगुला शरीर-रचना में जीभ के आकार वाले भाग को कहते हैं; यह अक्सर बाएँ फेफड़े के ऊपरी लोब की छोटी जीभ-सी उभार (projection) के लिए और कभी-कभी खोपड़ी की कुछ हड्डियों (जैसे स्फेनॉइड) के पास के जीभ-नुमा अस्थि-प्रक्षेप के लिए प्रयुक्त होता है।
