Definition
In botany/plant physiology, laeotropic describes tropic movement (growth curvature) that is directed to the side (leftward/lateral) in response to a stimulus, rather than straight toward it (positive tropism) or away from it (negative tropism).
वनस्पति-विज्ञान/पादप-शरीरक्रिया में laeotropic उस ट्रॉपिक (विकास-जन्य वक्रता/गति) को कहते हैं जो किसी उद्दीपन के प्रति सीधे उसकी ओर (धनात्मक) या उससे दूर (ऋणात्मक) न होकर बगल/पार्श्व (अक्सर बाएँ/लैटरल) दिशा में मुड़ती है।
