Origin & History
From Chichewa/Nyanja kwacha, literally “dawn” (as in “it has dawned”), adopted as the name of the currency in Malawi (and later Zambia).
चिचेवा/न्यांजा शब्द kwacha से, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ “भोर/सवेरा” है; इसे मलावी (और बाद में ज़ाम्बिया) में मुद्रा के नाम के रूप में अपनाया गया।
