Origin & History
Originally British English: knuckle + duster, where duster was slang for a blow that 'dusts' (knocks down) an opponent; the weapon name is recorded from the late 19th century.
मूलतः ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी: knuckle + duster; यहाँ duster बोलचाल में ऐसे घूँसे/प्रहार के लिए था जो प्रतिद्वंद्वी को ‘धूल चटाए’ (गिरा दे)। हथियार के नाम के रूप में इसका प्रयोग 19वीं सदी के उत्तरार्ध से मिलता है।
Definition
Knuckle-dusters are metal guards (often brass) fitted around the fingers and worn over the knuckles to increase the force and injury of a punch; they are illegal in many places.
नकल-डस्टर्स (अक्सर पीतल/धातु के) उँगलियों में फँसाकर नकल्स पर पहने जाने वाले धातु-रक्षक/हथियार होते हैं, जो घूँसे की चोट और प्रभाव बढ़ाते हैं; कई जगहों पर ये अवैध माने जाते हैं।
