Definition
Khellin is a plant-derived chemical (a furanochromone) obtained mainly from the seeds/fruits of khella (Ammi visnaga). It has smooth-muscle–relaxing and blood-vessel–widening effects and was used in older medicine for conditions like kidney-ureter spasms and asthma-like bronchial spasm.
क्हेलिन एक पौधों से प्राप्त रासायनिक यौगिक (फ्यूरैनोक्रोमोन) है, जो मुख्यतः खिला/खेल्ला पौधे (Ammi visnaga) के बीज/फल से मिलता है। यह चिकनी मांसपेशियों को शिथिल करता है और रक्त-वाहिकाओं को फैलाता है; पुराने चिकित्सा-प्रयोगों में इसे गुर्दे-यूरेटर की ऐंठन और दमा जैसी ब्रोंकियल ऐंठन में उपयोग किया जाता था।
