Definition
A jetty is a long, narrow structure built out into a body of water from the shore, used for boats to moor or for people to walk out to deeper water; it can also help protect the coast by influencing currents and reducing erosion.
जेट्टी तट से पानी में आगे तक बनाई गई लंबी, संकरी संरचना होती है, जिसका उपयोग नावों को बाँधने (मूरिंग) या लोगों के गहरे पानी तक जाने के लिए किया जाता है; यह धाराओं को प्रभावित करके और कटाव कम करके तट की रक्षा में भी मदद कर सकती है।
