Definition
Jejunostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening into the jejunum (the middle part of the small intestine) so that nutrition, fluids, or medications can be delivered directly, usually via a feeding tube; it may also be used for decompression or drainage in certain conditions.
जेजुनोस्टोमी एक शल्य-प्रक्रिया है जिसमें जेजुनम (छोटी आंत का मध्य भाग) में एक कृत्रिम छिद्र/मुख (स्टोमा) बनाया जाता है ताकि पोषण, तरल पदार्थ या दवाएँ सीधे (आमतौर पर फीडिंग ट्यूब के माध्यम से) दी जा सकें; कुछ स्थितियों में इसका उपयोग डीकंप्रेशन या ड्रेनेज के लिए भी किया जाता है।
