From Hebrew אִיָּר (’Iyyār), ultimately from Akkadian ayyāru meaning “rosette/flower,” a name of a spring month.
हिब्रू אִיָּר (इय्यार) से; मूलतः अक्कादी ayyāru से, जिसका अर्थ “गुलाब की कली/फूल (rosette/flower)” है—वसंत ऋतु के महीने का नाम।
