यह शब्द मध्य अंग्रेज़ी innocency से आया है, जो पुरानी फ़्रांसीसी inocence से और आगे लैटिन innocentia (“अहानिकरता/निर्दोषता”) से निकला है; लैटिन innocens का अर्थ है “हानि न पहुँचाने वाला; निर्दोष”।
Definition
Innocency means being free from guilt or moral wrongdoing, and it can also describe childlike simplicity, lack of deceit, or harmlessness; sometimes it can refer to an innocent thing or idea.
