Definition
Infrared refers to electromagnetic waves just beyond the red end of the visible spectrum (about 700 nm to 1 mm), often perceived as heat and used in devices like thermal cameras, remote controls, and sensors.
इन्फ्रारेड (अवरक्त) दृश्यमान प्रकाश के लाल छोर से आगे स्थित विद्युतचुंबकीय तरंगों (लगभग 700 नैनोमीटर से 1 मिलीमीटर) को कहते हैं, जो अक्सर ऊष्मा के रूप में महसूस होती हैं और थर्मल कैमरा, रिमोट कंट्रोल तथा सेंसर जैसे उपकरणों में उपयोग होती हैं।
