From Middle English humble, from Old French humble, from Latin humilis (“low, humble”), related to humus (“ground, earth”); humbleness formed with -ness.
मध्य अंग्रेज़ी humble से; यह पुरानी फ़्रेंच humble से और आगे लैटिन humilis (अर्थ: ‘नीचा/विनीत’) से आया है, जिसका संबंध humus (‘भूमि/मिट्टी’) से माना जाता है; humbleness शब्द -ness प्रत्यय जोड़कर बना है।
Definition
Humbleness is the trait of having a modest view of one’s importance and behaving without arrogance, often showing respect, openness to learning, and consideration for others.
हम्बलनेस (विनम्रता) वह गुण है जिसमें व्यक्ति अपने महत्व को सीमित/संयमित रूप में देखता है और घमंड के बिना व्यवहार करता है; इसमें सम्मान, सीखने की तत्परता और दूसरों के प्रति विचारशीलता शामिल होती है।
