Definition
A heron is a tall wading bird that lives around wetlands (rivers, lakes, marshes) and usually hunts fish, frogs, and other small aquatic animals by standing still or moving slowly.
Heron एक लंबी टाँगों वाला बड़ा जलचर पक्षी है जो आर्द्रभूमियों (नदियाँ, झीलें, दलदल) के आसपास रहता है और अक्सर मछली, मेंढक तथा अन्य छोटे जलीय जीवों का शिकार शांत खड़े रहकर या धीरे-धीरे चलकर करता है।
