Definition
A hematoma is a pocket of blood that has leaked from damaged blood vessels and collected in tissues, often causing pain, swelling, and discoloration; it can occur under the skin, within muscles, or inside organs (e.g., a subdural hematoma in the brain).
हेमाटोमा रक्त वाहिकाओं के क्षतिग्रस्त होने पर रक्त का बाहर निकलकर ऊतकों में जमा हो जाना है, जिससे अक्सर दर्द, सूजन और रंग बदलना (नील पड़ना) होता है; यह त्वचा के नीचे, मांसपेशियों में या अंगों के भीतर भी हो सकता है (जैसे मस्तिष्क में सबड्यूरल हेमाटोमा)।
