Heavy-handed का अर्थ है ऐसा व्यवहार/कदम जो जरूरत से ज़्यादा ज़ोरदार, सख़्त या खुल्लमखुल्ला हो—अक्सर भद्दा, अतिशयोक्तिपूर्ण या बिना सूक्ष्मता के; यह किसी व्यक्ति या सत्ता के दमनकारी/जबरदस्ती वाले रवैये के लिए भी कहा जाता है।
