Definition
A heatwave is a sustained spell of abnormally high temperatures for a region, usually lasting several days and sometimes accompanied by high humidity, increasing risks like dehydration, heat exhaustion, wildfires, and strain on power and water supplies.
हीटवेव (लू/अत्यधिक गर्मी की लहर) किसी क्षेत्र में कई दिनों तक सामान्य से बहुत अधिक तापमान बने रहने की अवधि है; अक्सर नमी भी अधिक होती है, जिससे निर्जलीकरण, लू लगना, जंगल की आग, और बिजली-पानी की आपूर्ति पर दबाव जैसे जोखिम बढ़ जाते हैं।
