Definition
A haptor is the specialized holdfast organ of certain parasitic flatworms—especially monogeneans—used to attach firmly to a host (often fish gills or skin) by means of hooks, suckers, or clamps.
हैप्टर कुछ परजीवी चपटे कृमियों—विशेषकर मोनोजीनियन—का विशेष चिपकने/पकड़ने वाला अंग है, जो हुक, सक्शन (चूषण) या क्लैम्प की मदद से मेज़बान (अक्सर मछली के गलफड़े या त्वचा) पर मजबूती से चिपकने के लिए होता है।
