Definition
Grafting is a technique in horticulture where a scion (a cutting or bud) is attached to a rootstock so the tissues unite and grow as one plant; the term can also mean corrupt or dishonest practices used to obtain personal gain.
ग्राफ्टिंग बागवानी की एक तकनीक है जिसमें सायन (कलम/कली) को रूटस्टॉक (जड़ वाले पौधे) पर जोड़ दिया जाता है ताकि दोनों ऊतक मिलकर एक ही पौधे की तरह बढ़ें; यह शब्द भ्रष्ट या बेईमान तरीकों से निजी लाभ कमाने (विशेषकर राजनीति/व्यवसाय में) के अर्थ में भी प्रयुक्त होता है।
