From glacier + -ate (to form/make) + -ed; ultimately from French glacier, from glace “ice,” from Vulgar Latin *glacia (from Latin glacies “ice”).
glacier + -ate (बनाना/रूप देना) + -ed से बना; glacier शब्द फ़्रेंच glacier से आया है, जो glace “बर्फ़” से और वह वल्गर लैटिन *glacia (लैटिन glacies “बर्फ़”) से संबंधित है।
Definition
Glaciated describes land that is covered by glaciers or has been eroded and shaped by glacial movement, leaving features like U-shaped valleys, moraines, and striations; it can also mean made icy or glassy in appearance.
Glaciated का अर्थ है वह भूमि जो हिमनदों से ढकी हो या हिमनदीय गतिविधि से कट-फटकर आकार ले चुकी हो, जिससे U-आकार की घाटियाँ, मोरेन और खरोंच/धारियाँ (striations) जैसी आकृतियाँ बनती हैं; कभी-कभी इसका अर्थ सतह का बर्फ़-सा या काँच-सा चमकीला/जमा हुआ दिखना भी होता है।
