From Old English gesīþ ‘companion, member of a lord’s following’ + -cund ‘having the nature/kind of; of the condition of’ (cf. Old English -cund).
पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी gesīþ ‘साथी; प्रभु के अनुचर-दल का सदस्य’ + प्रत्यय -cund ‘स्वभाव/प्रकार/स्थिति वाला’ (पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी -cund से)।
Definition
Gesithcund refers to the status or condition of being a gesith—i.e., belonging to a lord’s following as a sworn companion/retainer in early medieval (Old English) society.
Gesithcund का अर्थ ‘gesith’ (स्वामी/मुखिया का शपथबद्ध साथी या अनुचर) होने की स्थिति/हैसियत से है—यानी प्रारम्भिक मध्ययुगीन (पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी) समाज में किसी प्रभु के अनुचरों/दल में शामिल होना।
