Definition
A garrison is a body of troops placed in a fort, town, or strategic location to defend it and maintain control; it can also refer to the act of stationing troops there.
गैरीसन (छावनी/रक्षा-दल) उन सैनिकों का समूह है जो किसी किले, शहर या रणनीतिक स्थान पर उसकी रक्षा और नियंत्रण बनाए रखने के लिए तैनात रहते हैं; यह वहाँ सैनिक तैनात करने की क्रिया के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होता है।
