Definition
Furcula is the fork-shaped bone in birds formed by the fusion of the two clavicles; it is commonly known as the wishbone and helps support the shoulders and withstand stresses during flight.
फर्कुला पक्षियों में पाया जाने वाला Y-आकार/कांटे-सा अस्थि-ढांचा है जो दोनों हंसलियों (clavicles) के जुड़ने से बनता है; इसे सामान्यतः ‘विशबोन’ कहा जाता है और यह कंधों को सहारा देने तथा उड़ान के दौरान होने वाले तनाव को सहने में मदद करता है।
