From Italian fresco (“fresh, cool”), from Latin *friscus* (“fresh”); in art, it refers to painting on fresh (wet) plaster.
इतालवी fresco (“ताज़ा/ठंडा”) से, जो लैटिन *friscus* (“ताज़ा”) से आया; कला में यह ताज़े (गीले) पलस्तर पर चित्र बनाने की प्रक्रिया/कृति के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ।
Definition
A fresco is a mural painting created by applying water-based pigments onto freshly laid wet lime plaster so the color becomes part of the wall as it dries; by extension it can mean the method itself, and in older usage it can mean cool, shady air.
फ़्रेस्को (भित्ति-चित्र) वह चित्रकला है जिसमें पानी-आधारित रंगों को ताज़ी गीली चूने की पलस्तर पर लगाया जाता है, जिससे सूखने पर रंग दीवार का हिस्सा बन जाता है; इसका अर्थ इस तकनीक से भी होता है, और पुराने/दुर्लभ प्रयोग में यह ठंडी, छायादार हवा के लिए भी आता है।
