यह आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी का संयुक्त शब्द है: free + flow। 20वीं सदी में तकनीकी संदर्भों (द्रव-गतिकी/ट्रैफ़िक इंजीनियरिंग) में प्रचलित हुआ और बाद में शैली, बातचीत तथा डिज़ाइन के अर्थों में व्यापक रूप से प्रयुक्त होने लगा।
Definition
Free-flow describes something that moves, runs, or proceeds smoothly without blockage or rigid control (e.g., liquid in a pipe, traffic, ideas in conversation). It can also describe an open-plan layout or a flexible process where movement and transitions are natural and uninterrupted.
फ्री-फ़्लो (free-flow) ऐसे प्रवाह या संचालन को कहते हैं जो बिना रुकावट, जाम या कठोर नियंत्रण के सहज और निरंतर चलता रहे (जैसे पाइप में द्रव, ट्रैफ़िक, बातचीत में विचार)। यह खुले/ओपन-प्लान लेआउट या लचीली प्रक्रिया के लिए भी प्रयुक्त होता है जहाँ आवाजाही और बदलाव प्राकृतिक और निर्बाध हों।
