From foreshoot/foreshot: fore- (“before, in front”) + shot (something discharged; by extension a portion/run), used in distilling for the first portion that comes off; later also used in firearms for initial trigger travel.
यह शब्द fore- (अर्थ: “पहले/आगे”) + shot (अर्थ: “निकला/छूटा हुआ भाग/धारा”) से बना है; आसवन में शुरुआत में निकलने वाले पहले अंश के लिए प्रयोग हुआ, और बाद में आग्नेयास्त्रों में ट्रिगर के शुरुआती खाली चलन के अर्थ में भी चलन में आया।
Definition
Foreshot is the initial fraction produced at the start of a distillation run, often rich in highly volatile components (e.g., methanol, acetone) and commonly separated/discarded for safety and quality. It can also mean the slight preliminary travel of a firearm trigger before resistance is felt.
फोरशॉट (foreshot) आसवन (distillation) की शुरुआत में निकलने वाला शुरुआती अंश है, जिसमें अधिक वाष्पशील यौगिक (जैसे मेथनॉल, एसीटोन) अपेक्षाकृत अधिक हो सकते हैं, इसलिए सुरक्षा और गुणवत्ता के लिए इसे अक्सर अलग करके फेंक दिया जाता है। आग्नेयास्त्रों में यह ट्रिगर के उस शुरुआती “ढीले/खाली” चलन को भी कहते हैं जो प्रतिरोध महसूस होने से पहले होता है।
