Origin & History
From fore- (“front”) + quarter (“one of four parts”), used in animal anatomy and later in butchery for front portions; plural forequarters is common in modern use.
यह fore- (अर्थ: आगे/अग्र) + quarter (अर्थ: चार भागों में से एक) से बना है; पहले पशु-शरीर-विज्ञान में और बाद में मांस-विभाजन में आगे वाले हिस्से के लिए प्रयोग हुआ। आधुनिक प्रयोग में बहुवचन forequarters सामान्य है।
Definition
Forequarters refers to the front section of a quadruped—especially the forelegs, shoulders, and nearby body area; in butchery it can also mean the front half of a side of meat.
Forequarters का अर्थ चार-पैर वाले पशु के शरीर का अगला हिस्सा होता है—विशेषकर अग्रपाद (आगे के पैर), कंधे और आसपास का भाग; कसाई/मांस-विभाजन में यह मांस के हिस्से का आगे वाला भाग (फोरक्वार्टर) भी हो सकता है।
