fan + work (फैन + वर्क) का संयुक्त शब्द; 20वीं सदी के उत्तरार्ध–21वीं सदी के आरंभ में इंटरनेट फैंडम में प्रचलित हुआ, जहाँ इससे प्रशंसकों द्वारा बनाई गई रचनात्मक कृतियों (जैसे फैनफिक्शन, फैन आर्ट) का वर्णन किया गया।
