यह शब्द उत्तर मध्य अंग्रेज़ी में लैटिन exemptio (क्रिया eximere ‘बाहर निकालना/मुक्त करना’) से, पुरानी फ़्रेंच के माध्यम से आया।
Definition
Exemption means being officially freed from a duty, rule, payment, or requirement (for example, being excused from military service or being not required to pay a certain tax). It can also mean immunity or freedom from a weakness/defect in a more general sense.
Exemption का अर्थ है किसी कर्तव्य, नियम, भुगतान या शर्त से आधिकारिक रूप से मुक्त किया जाना (जैसे सैन्य सेवा से छूट या किसी विशेष कर का न देना)। इसका अर्थ ‘प्रतिरक्षा/अभयता’ या सामान्य रूप से किसी दोष/कमज़ोरी से मुक्त होना भी हो सकता है।
