From “excise” (to cut out / to levy an excise tax), ultimately from Latin “excidere” ‘to cut out’ (ex- ‘out’ + caedere ‘to cut’).

Definition
“Excised” means something has been removed by cutting (often in surgery, editing, or removing a section from a text), or that an excise tax was imposed on a product.
