Definition
Ethanol is the type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages and is also widely used in industry as a solvent, disinfectant/antiseptic, and fuel additive; it can be produced by fermentation of sugars or by chemical processes.
एथेनॉल वह अल्कोहल है जो मादक पेयों में पाया जाता है और इसे उद्योग में विलायक, कीटाणुनाशक/एण्टीसेप्टिक तथा ईंधन-योजक के रूप में व्यापक रूप से इस्तेमाल किया जाता है; इसे शर्करा के किण्वन (fermentation) या रासायनिक प्रक्रियाओं से बनाया जा सकता है।
