From the verb escheat, via Old French eschete/eschéte, ultimately from Late Latin excadere (“to fall out, lapse”).
यह शब्द क्रिया escheat से बना है; यह पुरानी फ्रेंच eschete/eschéte से आया है और मूलतः लेटिन excadere (“बाहर गिर जाना/लुप्त हो जाना, अधिकार से हट जाना”) से विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Escheating is the legal process where property is taken by the state (or feudal lord) or automatically reverts to it because the owner dies without a lawful heir or claimant.
एस्कीटिंग (escheating) एक कानूनी प्रक्रिया है जिसमें संपत्ति सरकार (या सामंती प्रभु) द्वारा जब्त कर ली जाती है या स्वतः उसी के पास लौट जाती है, जब मालिक की मृत्यु बिना वैध वारिस/दावेदार के हो जाती है।
