यूनानी ‘epeisodion’ (अर्थ: जोड़/बीच में जोड़ा गया भाग) से—लैटिन और फ्रेंच के माध्यम से—शब्द का मूल अर्थ नाटक में बीच-बीच में आने/जोड़े जाने वाले हिस्से से जुड़ा है।
Definition
Episodes are separate events or periods that stand out within a longer chain of happenings, or individual installments of a story told in parts (especially on TV/streaming).
एपिसोड/प्रकरण ऐसे अलग-अलग घटनाक्रम या समय-खंड होते हैं जो बड़े सिलसिले का हिस्सा होते हुए भी अलग से पहचाने जाते हैं; और टीवी/स्ट्रीमिंग जैसी श्रृंखलाओं में कहानी के अलग-अलग भाग (कड़ियाँ) भी ‘एपिसोड’ कहलाते हैं।
