From Greek elements en- ("in") + harmonia ("harmony") via the music-theory term enharmonic; 'epharmonic' is a rare/variant form used to mean the same.

Definition
In musical notation and theory, describing notes or intervals that sound the same (or nearly the same) in equal temperament but are written differently, such as C♯ and D♭.
