Definition
Entrapment means being caught or confined so that escape is difficult; in law it also means when police or authorities诱ce/pressure someone who otherwise would not commit a crime to do so, so they can arrest them; in science it can mean trapping/immobilizing cells or molecules within a gel to isolate them.
एंट्रैपमेंट का अर्थ है किसी का फँस जाना या ऐसी स्थिति में बंद/घिर जाना जहाँ से निकलना कठिन हो; कानून में यह उस स्थिति को भी कहते हैं जब पुलिस/अधिकारी किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को, जो सामान्यतः अपराध नहीं करता, अपराध करने के लिए उकसाते/बहकाते हैं ताकि उसे गिरफ्तार कर मुकदमा चलाया जा सके; विज्ञान में इसका अर्थ जेल जैसे माध्यम में कोशिकाओं या अणुओं को फँसाकर/स्थिर करके अलग (आइसोलेट) करना भी हो सकता है।
