Origin & History
From Greek ennea- ‘nine’ + -conta ‘tens’ (i.e., ninety) + Greek hedra ‘seat, face, base’, on the model of polyhedron names like dodecahedron.
यूनानी ennea- ‘नौ’ + -conta ‘दहाइयाँ’ (अर्थात ‘नब्बे’) + यूनानी hedra ‘आधार/सतह (face)’, दोडेकाहेड्रॉन जैसे बहुफलक-नामों के ढाँचे पर बना शब्द।
