From New Latin endopodites, formed from Greek endon (“within”) + pous/pod- (“foot”).
न्यू लैटिन endopodites से, जो यूनानी endon (अर्थ: ‘भीतर’) + pous/pod- (अर्थ: ‘पैर/पाद’) से बना है।
Definition
An endopodite is the inner branch of a two-branched (biramous) limb in many arthropods, especially crustaceans; it often functions in walking, swimming, or handling food, contrasted with the outer branch (exopodite).
एंडोपोडाइट (endopodite) कई आर्थ्रोपोडों, विशेषकर क्रस्टेशियनों, के द्विशाखी (बाइरैमस) उपांग/अंग का भीतरी भाग (अंदरूनी शाखा) होता है; इसका कार्य चलने, तैरने या भोजन पकड़ने/संभालने में हो सकता है, और यह बाहरी शाखा (एक्सोपोडाइट) के विपरीत होता है।
