लैटिन enasci/ēnātus (“बाहर की ओर उगना/विकसित होना”) से; e-/ex- (“बाहर”) + nasci (“जन्म लेना, उगना”)।
Definition
Enations are abnormal, often leaflike projections on the surface of plant organs (especially leaves), commonly appearing as raised ridges or vein-like outgrowths and sometimes associated with plant disease or genetic/physiological disturbance.
Enations पौधों के अंगों (विशेषकर पत्तियों) की सतह पर होने वाले असामान्य, प्रायः पत्ती-जैसे उभार/निकास होते हैं, जो अक्सर उठी हुई धारियों या नस-जैसी वृद्धि के रूप में दिखते हैं और कभी-कभी रोग या आनुवंशिक/शारीरिक गड़बड़ी से जुड़े हो सकते हैं।
