Origin & History
From French embouchure (“mouth; the mouth of a river; mouthpiece”), from em- (from Latin in-, “in”) + bouche (“mouth”), ultimately from Latin bucca (“cheek”).
फ़्रेंच embouchure (“मुंह; नदी का मुहाना; माउथपीस”) से; em- (लैटिन in- “अंदर/में” से) + bouche (“मुंह”) से बना; और इसका मूल लैटिन bucca (“गाल”) में मिलता है।
Definition
Embouchment refers (1) to the opening or outflow point of a river into a larger body of water, and (2) in music, to the position and use of the lips, facial muscles, and tongue on a wind instrument’s mouthpiece to produce sound.
Embouchment का अर्थ (1) नदी का वह मुख/मुहाना है जहाँ वह समुद्र, झील या किसी दूसरी नदी में मिलती है, और (2) संगीत में यह वादक द्वारा फूँक वाले वाद्य के माउथपीस पर होंठ, चेहरे की मांसपेशियों और जीभ की स्थिति व उपयोग को कहते हैं जिससे ध्वनि बनती है।
