From French embezzlement (earlier embesiller), related to the idea of making away with/stealing; the modern sense developed in English law for theft by a person in a position of trust.
फ़्रेंच embezzlement (पुराना रूप embesiller) से; अर्थ ‘हड़प लेना/चुरा लेना’ से जुड़ा है। आधुनिक अर्थ अंग्रेज़ी क़ानून में विश्वासपात्र व्यक्ति द्वारा की गई चोरी के लिए विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Embezzlement is a financial crime in which a person who is trusted to manage or hold someone else’s money or property dishonestly takes it for their own use (often by an employee, accountant, or official).
गबन एक वित्तीय अपराध है जिसमें किसी व्यक्ति को किसी और के धन या संपत्ति को संभालने/रखने का भरोसा दिया जाता है और वह व्यक्ति बेईमानी से उसे अपने उपयोग के लिए हड़प लेता है (अक्सर कर्मचारी, लेखाकार या अधिकारी द्वारा)।
