From dumb (“unable to speak; speechless”) + struck (past participle of strike), in the sense of being ‘struck’ by surprise; recorded from the 19th century.

यह dumb (“बोलने में असमर्थ/अवाक”) + struck (strike का भूतकालिक कृदंत) से बना है, अर्थात आश्चर्य से ‘प्रहार’ जैसा असर होना; 19वीं शताब्दी से प्रचलित।
