From French distillerie, from distiller (“to distill”), ultimately from Latin distillare (“to drip down”).
यह फ्रेंच distillerie से आया है, जो distiller (अर्थ: ‘आसवन करना’) से बना है; इसकी जड़ लैटिन distillare (अर्थ: ‘टपकना/धीरे-धीरे नीचे गिरना’) में है।
Definition
A distillery is a facility where liquids (especially fermented mixtures) are heated and condensed to separate and produce distilled alcoholic spirits such as whisky, rum, gin, or vodka.
डिस्टिलरी वह संयंत्र/कारखाना है जहाँ तरल (विशेषकर किण्वित मिश्रण) को गर्म करके और वाष्प को संघनित करके अलग किया जाता है तथा व्हिस्की, रम, जिन या वोडका जैसी आसुत मादक मदिराएँ बनाई जाती हैं।
