From Latin dissipatio (a scattering), from dissipare ‘to scatter, disperse’ (dis- ‘apart’ + supare/sipare ‘to throw/cast’), via French dissipation.
लैटिन dissipatio (अर्थ: बिखराव) से, जो dissipare ‘बिखेरना/तितर-बितर करना’ (dis- ‘अलग’ + supare/sipare ‘फेंकना’) से बना; फ्रेंच dissipation के माध्यम से अंग्रेज़ी में आया।
Definition
Dissipation refers to (1) the spreading out and gradual loss of something such as heat, energy, or resources, and (2) wasteful spending or a way of life marked by excessive pleasure-seeking and lack of self-control.
डिसिपेशन का अर्थ (1) किसी चीज़ (जैसे ऊष्मा, ऊर्जा, या संसाधन) का फैल जाना और धीरे-धीरे क्षय/नष्ट होना, और (2) फिज़ूलखर्ची या अति-भोग/अनैतिकता व संयम की कमी से जुड़ी जीवन-शैली भी होता है।
