From the verb discolorate/discolour (dis- ‘away, apart’ + color/colour), ultimately from Latin color (‘color’) and the prefix dis-. The noun discoloration developed in English for ‘change of color’.

Discolorations are patches, stains, or uneven areas where something has lost its original color or has changed color due to age, damage, chemicals, exposure, or disease.
डिस्कलररेशन (रंग-परिवर्तन/रंग बिगड़ना) वे धब्बे, दाग या असमान हिस्से हैं जहाँ किसी चीज़ का मूल रंग बदल गया हो या उम्र, नुकसान, रसायन, प्रकाश/हवा के संपर्क या बीमारी के कारण फीका/बदल गया हो।
