Definition
Dirigisme refers to a model of political economy where the state plays a strong directive role in shaping the economy—guiding investment, supporting “national champions,” setting industrial priorities, and using regulation or public ownership to steer markets rather than leaving outcomes to free competition alone.
दिरिज़्म (Dirigisme) वह आर्थिक-राजनीतिक मॉडल है जिसमें राज्य अर्थव्यवस्था को दिशा देने और नियंत्रित करने में सक्रिय/प्रमुख भूमिका निभाता है—निवेश को मार्गदर्शन देना, “राष्ट्रीय” बड़ी कंपनियों को बढ़ावा देना, औद्योगिक प्राथमिकताएँ तय करना, तथा विनियमन या सार्वजनिक स्वामित्व के माध्यम से बाजार को केवल मुक्त प्रतिस्पर्धा पर छोड़ने के बजाय संचालित करना।
