From Arabic dirham, ultimately from Greek drakhmē (“drachma”), adopted via Middle Eastern trade and coinage.
अरबी ‘दिरहम’ से; मूलतः यूनानी ‘द्राख्मे’ (ड्राक्मा) से निकला शब्द, जो व्यापार और सिक्का-प्रचलन के माध्यम से मध्य-पूर्वी भाषाओं में आया।

A dirham is a unit of currency used today in countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Morocco; historically, it also referred to a silver coin used widely in the Islamic world.
