From New Latin dioecia, from Greek dioikia “separate households,” from di- “two” + oikos “house.”
न्यू लैटिन dioecia से, जो ग्रीक dioikia “अलग-अलग घर/गृहस्थी” से आया है; di- “दो” + oikos “घर”।
Definition
Dioecy is a reproductive system (especially in plants) where male flowers/cones and female flowers/cones occur on different individuals of the same species; thus, one plant is male and another is female.
डायोइसी (विशेषतः पौधों में) एक प्रजनन-प्रणाली है जिसमें नर पुष्प/शंकु और मादा पुष्प/शंकु एक ही प्रजाति के अलग-अलग पौधों पर होते हैं; यानी एक पौधा नर होता है और दूसरा मादा।
