Used to describe something (often a holy place, grave, monument, or symbol) that has been damaged, defiled, or shown extreme disrespect, especially in a way that offends religious or moral feelings.
किसी पवित्र/आदरनीय स्थान, वस्तु, समाधि, स्मारक या प्रतीक की पवित्रता भंग करने, उसे अपवित्र करने या अत्यंत अनादरपूर्वक नुकसान पहुँचाने के अर्थ में (desecrate का past tense/past participle), जिससे धार्मिक या नैतिक भावनाएँ आहत हों।
