यह शब्द dehumanize (de- ‘हटाना/वंचित करना’ + humanize) और -ation प्रत्यय से बना है; आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी में इसका अर्थ किसी को कम मानव दिखाने/मानने की प्रक्रिया के रूप में विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Dehumanization is the process of viewing, describing, or treating people as if they are not fully human—by denying their dignity, emotions, rights, or individuality, often to justify abuse, discrimination, violence, or exploitation.
अमानवीयकरण वह प्रक्रिया है जिसमें किसी व्यक्ति या समूह को पूर्णतः मानव न मानकर उनकी गरिमा, भावनाएँ, अधिकार या व्यक्तित्व को नकार दिया जाता है; अक्सर इसका उपयोग दुर्व्यवहार, भेदभाव, हिंसा या शोषण को उचित ठहराने के लिए किया जाता है।
