A debate is a structured or informal discussion where different opinions are expressed and reasons are given; it can be a public argument, a formal parliamentary-style discussion, or an internal act of weighing options to decide.
Debate वह चर्चा/बहस है जिसमें अलग-अलग मत रखे जाते हैं और उनके समर्थन में तर्क दिए जाते हैं; यह सार्वजनिक या औपचारिक वाद-विवाद हो सकता है, या किसी बात पर निर्णय करने के लिए मन-ही-मन विचार-विमर्श भी हो सकता है।
